Georgie Kelly, MA, LPCC

Specializing in Gender, Dissociation, and EMDR

Hello and Welcome!

My name is Georgie Kelly, and my pronouns are they/them/theirs. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (#9136). I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, as well as a Master of Arts in Counseling, specializing in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, from the University of San Diego. My experience in the field of mental health spans over a decade. I have been in private practice for the past 8 years, working almost exclusively with the trans and nonbinary communities. I identify as nonbinary/transmasculine and queer. If you would like to know more about my identities, please ask.

My previous positions included working at the Santa Barbara Rape Crisis Center. I worked with sexual assault survivors on a hotline and on a walk-in basis for in-person counseling. At Center for Community Solutions, I counseled a diverse group of clients, including children, who were survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. At Casa de Amparo, I led group and individual counseling sessions for foster youth aged 13-18 in a group home setting. I worked at MiraCosta College and provided short-term mental health support for students with a wide variety of issues. I have also worked with K-12th grade youth for over 15 years in after-school settings as a volunteer and support staff.

My approach to therapy is client-centered, humanistic, and strengths-based. I provide a safe space for you to explore your authentic self, and I will join you on your journey of discovery to see where it takes you. I prioritize being trauma-informed in everything I do, and I feel very comfortable talking about sex and sexuality. I am firmly sex-positive, polyamory-friendly, and kink-aware.

More information about me can also be found at my Therapy Den profile.

I also provide educational presentations on gender-related topics. If you are interested, please email me at Georgie K @ Join On Your Journey .Com to inquire as to my availability and fees.Â
