Specializing in LGBTQIA2S+ Youth, Depression, Anxiety, Relationships, and Trauma

Hello! Thank you for visiting my bio! My name is Adele and my pronouns are she/they. I am a Registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (#16175) supervised by Georgie Kelly, MA, LPCC #9136. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Gender Studies from Indiana University and a Master of Arts in Counseling, specializing in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, from the University of San Diego. Professionally, I have experience in working with queer and trans folx of all ages navigating transitions and experiences of anxiety, depression, and trauma. I am white and identify as genderfluid, queer, and neurodivergent. If you have questions about any of these identities, please don’t hesitate to ask!

As a therapist, I strive to create a warm and responsive therapeutic environment, to remain open and curious and to practice through a social justice lens (you can also ask what this means to me!). While my professional training helps me to facilitate the therapeutic process, I recognize that you are the expert in your own experience, and I deeply value the unique knowledge that you bring into each session. In practice, I call attention to your existing strengths while creating a safer space for identity exploration and collaborating with you to make desired changes. If we agree that it may be supportive, I might integrate elements of play, reading, and/or grounding into our sessions. My previous work at the Monarch School included online and in-person mental health support to unhoused people experiencing trauma, parent-child relational concerns, low mood and anxiety within the context of social and economic marginalization. I also have over 10 years of experience developing programs for youth, teens, and families as a public and school librarian. I am firmly body-positive, sex-positive, polyamory-friendly, and kink-friendly.
