Specializing in Mindfulness and the LGBTQIA Community

Hello! My name is AJ Draz and my pronouns are she/her/they/them. I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker (#112217), supervised by Georgie Kelly, LPCC#9136. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Critical Gender Studies from the University of California, San Diego and a Master of Social Work from Portland State University. I have worked with the LGBTQIA+ community in various capacities for over ten years. I identify as nonbinary and queer.

My previous positions include working at New Avenues for Youth drop in center, where I worked with young people experiencing homelessness. I provided counseling and resource linkage to clients ages 16-24 in this role. At the organization Share I provided case management and support services to individuals and families in a transitional housing program. I have worked extensively with children and adolescents in both school settings and non-profits, offering social-emotional tools and life skills.

My approach to therapy is client-centered, strengths-based, and rooted in building authentic relationships. I bring openness, humor, and deep listening into my work. Mindfulness practices also inform the ways that I aim to support people. My priority is to create a space that feels safe and affirming so that you can comfortably show up and explore what is alive for you.
